House Rules: This subreddit is heavily moderated hatred and other toxicity will be removed. This leads directly into the Catacombs of Kourend. Please note that old.reddit uses the legacy sidebar, which is not updated as frequently as new.reddit's.Īnyone is welcome, though! Feel free to look around and explore, or post yourself. With the quest started, you can investigate the statue in the Kourend Castle courtyard. Simply complete the simple quest “X Marks the Spot” then start the quest “Client of Kourend.” There are several easy steps to get to Catacombs in OSRS. Many players agree this is one of the best uses for the limited portal space in a POH. Moreover, if you have the required Construction level and runes, you can install a portal directly to the Kourend Castle in the portal room or portal nexus of your Player-Owned House. If you’ve completed the “Architectural Alliance” miniquest, you can use Xeric’s talisman to teleport to Xeric’s Heart this brings you right outside the statue.Īlternatively, you can unlock the Kourend Castle teleport spell by reading the book “Transportation Incantations.” The book can be found in the Arceuus library, and the spell requires 69 Magic. There are a few additional ways to reach the main Castle entrance, as well. Keep in mind, you’ll need some gear to survive the tough monsters in these areas. With each of these extra entrances unlocked, you now have full access to the Catacombs of Kourend. This one is also noteworthy as the nearest exit to an Altar. In the Southeastern section, you can find an exit to the Forthos Dungeon, which exits in Hosidius. This entrance is noteworthy as the nearest to a Fairy Ring teleport. ![]() The Southern portion contains a vine near the Deviant Spectres that leads to Shayzien. In the Northwest corner, near the Brutal Black Dragons, there is another climbable vine leading to Lovakengj. In the Northeast corner, near the Greater and Black Demons, there is a climbable vine that leads up to Arceuus, near the Dark Altar. In fact, if you have a high enough Prayer level, you should learn how to unlock Piety in OSRS. That being said, the monsters inside the OSRS Catacombs are tough, so I’d recommend using protection prayers. Each is located within the five cities of Kourend. There are five other entrances to the Catacombs, but they can only be unlocked from inside. However, there are several other entrances and methods of getting there. Congratulations! You’ve gotten to the Catacombs in Old School Runescape. Investigating the statue prompts the text “You investigate what looks like hinges on the statue and find it opens.” Then, you will find yourself in the Catacombs of Kourend. All you need to do is left-click “investigate” on this statue. There is a large white statue in the Castle’s courtyard. Once you’ve reached the appropriate step/completed the quest, head to the main Kourend Castle, immediately west of the docks. It’s just as easy as, but a little more time consuming than “X Marks the Spot,” so I would recommend completing it anyway. Talking to Veos again after “X Marks the Spot” will prompt you to start the next quest in his storyline, called “Client of Kourend.” Completion of this quest is not required, but it must be started to access Kourend. Once this quest is completed, talk to the same NPC. First, you must complete the quest “X Marks the Spot.” This quest is incredibly quick and easy, since it was designed for brand new accounts. Getting to the Catacombs can be done in several simple steps.
